A Holistic approach to wellness

what does holistic mean?

The term "holism" was coined by South African statesman and philosopher Jan Smuts in his 1926 book Holism and Evolution.

When we approach something holistically, we're looking at the bigger picture and how all the different parts connect and influence each other, rather than just focusing on individual parts in isolation.

My approach is grounded in the understanding that the mind, body, and spirit are deeply intertwined, creating a dynamic interplay that influences our overall well-being. This interconnectedness means that when one aspect is out of alignment, it can lead to repercussions in the others. For instance, if our physical health is compromised—whether through stress, illness, or lack of movement—it can lead to emotional disturbances such as anxiety or depression. Conversely, negative emotional states can manifest as physical ailments, highlighting the importance of balance across all three areas.

I believe that addressing the body as an integrated whole is essential for fostering harmony. My methods focus on calming the nervous system, which is vital for reducing stress and promoting relaxation.

Get the most out of your session

I require all new clients inital visit for body-work too book a 90 minute session.
so you can settle into the space, discuss what needs attention, and get comfortable before your session.

1. Hydration is key!
The day before, drink plenty of filtered water. Make sure that your body is well-hydrated as toxins will be moved from your fascia and muscles encouraging your body to expel what no longer is needed.

2. Nourish your body!
Only have a light meal roughly 2 hours before your appointment.

3. Be present.
Switch off your phone and wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You can wear as little or as much as you're comfortable with on the table. Remember, this is your time to relax and be at ease.

4. Receive!
Allow yourself to receive, give this time to yourself.

5. Rest and take it easy.
After the Energytic Body-Work, I encourage you to slowly take the rest of the day/evening. Stay present and avoid strenuous activities.
